Psychiatric Intake
During the intake process, you can expect to be interviewed as a family as well as having a 1:1 assessment with your child if indicated. The psychiatrist will also review available data that you might have brought from previous treatments as well as documents from other providers and school if relevant. Prior to the intake, you will be given forms and assessment tools to fill out and these will also be looked at and reviewed during the intake. Any other data that you feel might be relevant to your child's care, please bring with you to the session. This can be a drawing or a Lego project they are working on.

Psychiatric Follow Up
During follow up visits, we check on changes in the interim period between appointments and examine together what progress has been made or the lack thereof. In addition to that, there will be some element of counseling for the family as well as individual focused psychotherapy. We might ask for collateral information from school and therapist on how they feel the treatment is going and whether they are seeing any changes, improvement or side effects.

Psychiatric Consult
We offer one-time consults for a "second opinion" for clarification and refining of diagnoses and treatment recommendations. We can offer an additional follow up as well if warranted.
For this service we require permission to gather information from current providers and treatment teams.
